Photo of Women Playing Board Game at Khana-e-Kaaba Goes Viral
A picture of four women fully covered, sitting cross-legged within the premises of Khana-e-Kaaba and enjoying playing a board game has gone viral on the social media, hence erupting in a wide variety of comments.
As per the reports of Saudi daily Okaz on Monday, these women were found playing the board game Sequence around 11 pm on Friday at the western square near the King Abdul Aziz Gate.
On spotting these ladies the operation room was notified and the women’s section of the General Presidency was given the task to deal with the situation. The supervisors went up to the four ladies and requested them to respect the holiness of the mosque and to stop their ongoing game. On the request of the supervisors, the four women collected their stuff, compiled the game and left.

The General Presidency for the two Holy mosques Khana-e-Kaaba and Masjid-e-Nabwi confirmed that it had asked the women not to play the board game at the Holy Mosque.
Sadly, there are some people who misjudge the professional commitment of the staff by using such incidents against them and doubts their work efficiency.
People criticized and condemned this act of the four women saying that they should have acknowledged the sanctity of the holy mosque. The nationality of these women is not known.
One of the comments of the user at the social networking site was that the Holy Mosque is for offering prayers, supplications and devotion, so all the people must take care of this and must not do or engage in any such activity that might disturb their religiousness.
On the other hand, one social media user compared the act of four women playing a board game with the use of smartphones in the holy mosque. He posted that some people while waiting for prayers or friends starts using their smartphones for many reasons either for clicking pictures or for using applications.
Back in 2015, a picture went viral of some youngsters playing cards within the boundaries of Masjid-e-Nabwi, security authorities there arrested these youngsters for this act.
