Pixel Watch 5: Leak shows the design of the new Google smartwatch in advance

After the new Google smartphones in the Pixel 11 series, official marketing images of the Google Pixel Watch 5 have now been made public for the first time. They show the US technology group’s new smartwatch in a range of colors. Technical details are still pending.

Pixel Watch 5 leaked in four colors

The first official marketing images of the Google Pixel Watch 5 were recently published in an unusual way. At first glance, they show an identical design, but at the same time they make it clear that Google is basing the color scheme on the look of its new flagship smartphones. The website The Tide Chart which doesn’t have a single other entry so far, published the first images of the Pixel Watch 5, which was provided by French leaker Steve “OnLeaks” Hemmerstoffer. The purpose of the campaign is obviously to rank the site well in the search engines as quickly as possible.

The images show a smartwatch with a seemingly unchanged design compared to the Pixel Watch 4. So there is again a strongly curved display cover, under which screens of different sizes do their job. Quite obviously, Google’s AI assistant Gemini is becoming increasingly central to the Pixel Watch 5, as the new watch face obviously shows a way to quickly access the service. Apart from that, the only thing that seems to be changing is the colors. Specifically, there is talk of variants in “Dark Anthracite” (dark gray), “Natural Silver” (silver and light green bracelet), “Pyrite” (matte gold and dark green bracelet) and “Warm Gold” (polished gold with an orange-pink bracelet). Only the smaller 41 mm version will be available in the latter color combination.

The new leak does not yet provide any technical data, which means it is still unclear whether previous reports will come true, according to which Google is supposedly working on its own system-on-chip design for use in wearables. This would also explain why the optical changes in the Pixel Watch have been very limited for five generations now.
