Pixel Watch Price Leaked

Google already unveiled its smartwatch in May, but the search engine giant only gave the first details at its Google I/O developer conference. Many question marks have been spared, but thanks to leaks they are gradually disappearing, now also at the price.

In the spring, Google opted for a rather unusual strategy for this company: numerous devices were confirmed, but in some cases, they only revealed the names of the upcoming devices, presumably because they know they can’t be prevented from leaking anyway.

The Californians of Mountain View were very careful with the technical details of the respective models, but here too more information is leaking out. As for the Pixel Watch, we now know that the smartwatch will have a diameter of 40 millimeters and a thickness of 14 mm. A Samsung Exynos 9110 and co-processor are used as the CPU, plus 1.5 gigabytes of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory.

The battery will probably offer close to 300 mAh, so the watch should last about a day. Other features include GPS, water resistance up to 50 meters, NFC, and a whole range of sensors that register different health values. Google already announced in May that there will be two variants, one with Bluetooth and WLAN support and an LTE model.

Competitively Priced

So far the price is open 9to5Google but now you can find out. Citing a source familiar with the matter, the mobile version of the Pixel Watch will cost $399 in the US. It is not known how much the WLAN version will cost, but you can expect a discount of about 50 dollars.

At least that’s the difference between the WLAN and LTE models in the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5. At this price, Google should roughly fit between Samsung and Apple, as $399 is exactly the price you’d pay for the cheapest Apple Watch Series 7 to move to Cupertino.
