The device will come with the new Qualcomm processor, Snapdragon 732G, and will have a 64 MP quad-camera; the launch event will be broadcast live on official Poco channels.
Xiaomi subsidiary Poco that manufactures low – cost mobile phones, said it will launch its first smartphone exclusively on the 7th of September. The Poco X3, as it is called, will be presented in a live event on the company’s official profiles on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.
The new smartphone is the successor to the Poco X2, launched in February. While this was practically identical to the Redmi K30, the X3 will be the first handset from the manufacturer not to share the same specifications of phones already launched by Xiaomi in the Chinese market.
The announcement was made on Twitter and joked with the fact that, days ago, some details about the smartphone camera had already been revealed by a company executive.
Official details about the product have not yet been revealed, but it is expected to be the first smartphone on the market to feature the Snapdragon 732G, Qualcomm’s new processor. That’s because the chipset maker announced, through a press release, that the chip would make its debut at a Poco launch.
According to information leaked on a forum on Xiaomi phones, the X3 will have a 6.67-inch screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It has been confirmed that the camera will be quadruple, with the main lens of 64 MP and a front of 20 MP. The phone will also feature professional tools that will allow the user to adjust the ISO, shutter, exposure, and white balance of the photographs.
As for the battery, the Poco X3 should have a capacity of 5,160 mAh and have a fast recharge of 33W. In addition, the device will have support for Proximity Field Communication (NFC), a technology that allows wireless information exchange with compatible devices. In practice, this means that you can make purchases, make payments, and send files instantly via your smartphone.
The price of the device has not been revealed, but it should be similar to that of its predecessor, which reached the market costing the US $225
