Qualcomm’s next flagship is prepping to meet new smartphones. The company’s upcoming SoC is the Snapdragon 898 and it just landed Geekbench.
According to the Geekbench listing, this SoC comes with model number SM8450. It is said to overcome the previous flaws found on older chipsets, such as heat-related challenges.
According to GizChina, Qualcomm will adopt Samsung’s 4nm process to manufacture this new chipset. With this process, we may expect a 20% improved performance compared to previous SoCs. It is also certain that this SoC will have a three-cluster architecture.
According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, a Vivo smartphone is expected to feature this new SoC by Qualcomm. One other source said that this SoC might first land Xiaomi Mi 12 series (or shall we call it Xiaomi Mi 12 series as the company is omitting brand name Mi).
According to Geekbech scoring, the Snapdragon 898 SoC scored 720 in the single-core and 1,919 in the multi-core tests.
