Redmi Could be Working One Two Flagships – One for 2021 and the Other for 2022

Besides Xiaomi Mix 5, the company’s sub-brand Redmi is also working on its next year line of flagship devices. One of them could be the Redmi K50. It all started when we first heard about the Redmi K50 Pro+ that would feature the latest Snapdragon 898 SoC.

Today we are back with more news. As far as we have heard, there would be two (at least) devices in the series. One carries the codename Matisse and the other Rubens. Else, you may find on the web their shortened model numbers – L10 and L11A respectively.

According to reports, the former (Matisse/L10) has three regional models for China, Global, and India, registered with model numbers 21121210C, 21121210G, and 21121210I, respectively. Whereas the Rubens (l11A) may stay only in China as it appeared on IMEI, with one model number only – 22041211AC.

The L10 is likely to reach the Chinese market under the Redmi brand name, while the other markets will get is under the POCO brand. According to a prediction, the L10 may get an official announcement before the end of 2021, while the L11A may go on sale in April 2022.

We also have some rumors about their specs. The Xiaomi Matisse may feature the recent MediaTek Dimensity 9000, a 120Hz (or a 144Hz) OLED display, and a mixture of Goodix and FPC in-screen fingerprint sensors. The Xiaomi Rubens might come with a MediaTek Dimensity 7000 and could be sold as Redmi K50 Gaming Standard Edition. The Matisse might sell under the name POCO F4 GT.

We also heard that the former model will feature a quad-camera setup with a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary sensor,  a 13MP OmniVision OV13B10 ultra-wide unit, an 8MP OmniVision OV08856 telemacro shooter, and a 2MP GalaxyCore GC02M1 depth sensor. On the other side, the Xiaomi Rubens may have a triple camera setup on the rear with a 64MP Samsung ISOCELL GW3 primary sensor.
