Redmi debuts 300W rapid charging, which charges a phone battery in 5 minutes

The race for fast charging is in full swing. Several companies have tried and tested various experiments to offer fast charging capacities. Just recently, Realme introduced 240W fast charging solution. The fast charging solution was provided with GT Neo 5.

Previously, the company Redmi has achieved the target for 200W threshold fast charging. Now just after four months, the company declares that it has achieved a new fast-charging tech milestone. As of now, the company has claimed on Weibo that they have achieved the milestone for 300W fast charging. The company unveiled that the latest charging tech has the capacity to charge a smartphone from 0 to 100% in just five minutes.

For the latest tech, the company has reportedly used an advanced Redmi Note 12 Discovery. The smartphone is provided with a 4,100mAh battery. Whereas the original device holds a 4,300mAh battery. The device was charged to 50% in under 2 minutes and 11 seconds. Within five minutes the smartphone was fully charged.

Reportedly, the company has made some changes to the battery materials. In addition to this, some changes were introduced to the charging structure as well. The adapter used for testing this tech is accompanied by Double GaN technology. It has more than 50 safety protection items. Despite this, the charger still maintains a small size, states the company. Besides all this information, the company has not shared any news about when an actual device with such tech enters the market.
