It now seems certain that Nvidia will introduce its new RTX 50 series graphics cards in less than seven weeks. So far there has already been information about the RTX 5090, 5080 and 5070. Specifications for another Blackwell GPU are now available.
With the introduction of Nvidia’s Blackwell GPUs getting closer and closer, the rumors are heating up again. The alleged specifications of the upcoming Geforce RTX 5090, RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 were revealed in a leak in mid-October. Now there are numbers for another graphics chip in the 50 series. This is what the well-known hardware leaker Kopite7kimi revealed VideoCardz some of the numbers for the new GeForce RTX 5070 Ti.
The card with the GB203 Blackwell die should use the same GPU die as the slightly more powerful RTX 5080. In addition, the 5070 Ti should have 8960 CUDA cores, which is an upgrade to the comparable card 40 series would be. The RTX 4070 Ti only has 7680 CUDA cores. So there would be an increase of around 16 percent.
The new RTX 5070 Ti is said to have slightly higher power consumption compared to its predecessor. 300 watts are mentioned here. However, it is still unclear whether this is about the TDP or TGP. If it were the thermal design power, that would be a fairly moderate increase of just five percent compared to the 4070 Ti. Compared to the RTX 5080, the 5070 Ti would consume a full 100 watts less.

There is currently no information about the storage. To further differentiate the 5070 Ti from the 5080, Nvidia could use a 256-bit interface with 2GB chips instead of 3GB chips. The RTX 5070 Ti could come with just 16 gigabytes instead of 24 gigabytes. Nothing is known about the clock speed either. It is possible that there is conflicting information here.
Nvidia is known for making changes even shortly before the introduction of its new GPUs. It is also not known whether the RTX 5070 Ti will be presented instead of the ‘normal’ 5070 as part of the announced keynote with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang at the next CES in January 2025.
