RTX 50 Series Is Ready To Hit The Market In December

New rumors keep emerging about the market launch of Nvidia’s next generation of graphics cards. Now a cooling system supplier has mentioned December in connection with the RTX 50 series. However, this could not be about the start of sales.

Rumors about the launch of the new RTX cards

The highly anticipated release of Nvidia’s new Blackwell RTX 50 series GPUs is getting closer and closer. But rumors have been swirling about the exact date for months. So far everything has been there from October 2024 to January 2025.

Recently, however, CES 2025 emerged as the most likely date. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang will give a keynote speech at the trade fair, which takes place from January 7th to 10th in Las Vegas. Accordingly, it is assumed that Nvidia is using the big stage to present its new graphics chips. However, this has not been confirmed in any way.

Supplier speaks of December

Now an official Nvidia recommended cooling system supplier has again mentioned an earlier date regarding the GeForce RTX 50 series DigiTimes Asia reported. Yu-Shen Lin, the CEO of the Taiwanese company called Auras Technology, spoke in an earnings announcement that the GPUs could “conquer the entire market from December onwards”. We expect a corresponding increase in demand for our own products.

Due to the business relationships between the two companies, it cannot be ruled out that more concrete information has already been received about the market launch of Nvidia’s cards and that the RTX 50 series will unexpectedly be delivered this year.

However, the statement could also just be based on assumptions based on orders for cooling components. Accordingly, the December mentioned would not refer to the start of sales of the graphics cards, but rather to the time at which Auras begins to deliver cooling components to graphics card sellers.

More watts, more cooling

In any case, the GeForce RTX 5090, as the top model, will need a lot of cooling. As Corsair recently indirectly revealed, the card’s power consumption is likely to be beyond 450 watts, which probably indicates increased heat development. In line with this, Auras expects double-digit growth in the market for display cards, which is likely to be largely dominated by the new Nvidia chips.
