Rumor: iOS 18 might feature a more customizable Home Screen
The Cupertino-based tech firm Apple will release the iOS 18 updates this year. Until now, we have received several details about the upcoming iOS 18. As of now, we have received some fresh details about the Home Screen of the new operating system. This information comes from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
According to Gurman, the Home Screen of the upcoming iOS 18 has been redesigned. He shared that the new Home Screen is ore customizable. He made this revelation in his Power On newsletter, but he did not give any more specifics.
The company is expected to announce the new iOS 18 at annual developers conference WWDC in June. Besides a redesigned customizable home scree, the new software update will accompany several other features. Some of them are RCS support in the Messages app, design changes, new generative AI features for Siri and multiple apps, and others. It is reported that the Messages app will offer RCS support for better texting between iPhones and Android devices.
According to Gurman, rather than emphasizing “generative AI features akin to ChatGPT,” Apple would prioritize new “AI tools that help organize your daily life” in iOS 18. Gurman restated the belief held by a subset of Apple staff members that iOS 18 will be the largest software release for the iPhone ever.
Well, we will learn more about the upcoming iOS update in the coming months given the report that it will be available in June.
