Samsung announces Rollout of One UI 7 in Korea

Samsung has officially announced that the rollout of One UI 7 begins on April 7, 2025 in Korea and will also be available in Europe shortly afterwards. This update brings with it numerous innovations that are intended to further optimize the user experience on Galaxy devices.

Essential innovations:

  • New design: A revised, intuitive layout enables an even more personal adjustment of the user interface.
  • AI integration: Improved AI functions support everyday tasks and promote creativity.
  • Now bar: Real-time updates directly on the lock screen for quick access to important information.

Modernized design for individual adaptation

One UI 7 introduces a simplified yet impressive design that redesigns the start screen, the widgets and the lock screen. These elements enable users to personalize their devices intuitively and seamlessly. The introduction of the NOW Bar also offers real-time updates directly on the lock screen, so that information such as fitness progress or currently played music is easily accessible without having to unlock the device.

Intelligent AI functions for an improved user experience

With One UI 7, AI-controlled functions are introduced that facilitate everyday life and increase productivity. The AI selection assistant can understand the context and give recommendations based on it. For example, he enables you to save it directly as a GIF when watching a video. The writing assistant helps to summarize texts or format texts, which is particularly useful when creating notes or documents.

In addition, the drawing assistant offers creative support by enabling the combination of text demands with pictures or sketches. The audio radier allows undesirable noises to be removed in videos by isolating certain sound categories. Due to the extended integration of Google Gemini, the control of the device becomes even more intuitive. A long pressure on the side button and a voice command such as “Find Italian, pet -friendly restaurants with seats outdoors nearby” immediately delivers corresponding recommendations.

Improved security functions

In the AI era, Samsung attaches particular importance to data protection and security with One UI 7. The update introduces advanced security functions that ensure the protection of user data and offer more transparency.

Availability

The rollout of One UI 7 begins on April 7, 2025 and will be extended to further Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets in the following weeks. The first devices that receive the update include:

  • Samsung Galaxy S24 series
  • Samsung Galaxy S24 Fe
  • Samsung Galaxy S23 series
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 series

The availability can vary depending on the market. With One UI 7, Samsung sets new standards in terms of design, functionality and security in order to offer users an even better experience on their Galaxy devices.
