Samsung Galaxy: There will be two new premium smartphones in 2027

Samsung customers will be able to enjoy a wider selection of premium smartphones next year than ever before, according to a new report. In addition to the Galaxy S27 Pro, a Z Trifold 2 is also said to be coming to stores.

Samsung expands model series

Samsung has just officially presented its new foldable smartphones with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 (Ultra) and Z Flip 8. According to a report, another folding model will be added next year to the particularly expensive devices in Europe that are already delivered with One UI 9. At the same time, the Koreans are also expanding the range of their Galaxy S series. This leads to a 4+4 strategy, under which there could be a total of eight premium smartphones from the manufacturer in 2027.

The S27 Pro is added to the S series. The device, which is intended to position itself between the S27 and S27 Ultra in terms of performance and price, will receive some features of the Ultra variant. However, the phone should appear in a more compact format. This will particularly appeal to enthusiasts for whom the Ultra model has always been too big.

A second double butterfly

It’s even more exciting out loud ETNews (via Android Authority) planned fourth model for foldables. There will be a Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold 2 next year. The first version of the double-foldable device was released at the beginning of the year. However, Samsung quickly ended the sale. Overall, only a comparatively small number were produced and sold. After that, some sources said there would be no second generation. The new report now contradicts this.

The Trifold 2 is reportedly launching with the same 10-inch display as its predecessor. Development is said to have been going on for some time, so the foldable could appear together with the other Galaxy Z models in summer 2027. There would then no longer be a separate release like the first version. More choice for buyers

While the release of the S27 Pro is considered certain, there are still no leaks about a Z Trifold 2, let alone a confirmation from the manufacturer. In addition, a release in summer 2027 is still a whole year in the future. Even if Samsung has current plans for a second trifold model, a lot can still change in twelve months. Thanks to the S27 Pro, one thing is already certain: customers will have a larger selection than before.
