Samsung app store now offers the Philips Hue Sync TV app

Samsung has shown its interest in a connected world. For this, a connected world strategy has been shared by Samsung at CES 2023. Samsung has collaborated with several companies. One such company is Signify. Signify is the possessor of the Philips Hue. At the CES 2023 event, both companies revealed that they will soon introduce an app in collaboration. This will be a smart TV app called Philips Hue Sync TV. We can expect this app to be depicted as a software version of the Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box with some added gains.

The Philips Hue Sync TV app provides users with an enhanced experience. It is capable of supporting all formats of images. Moreover, it presents the users with the option to customize brightness, intensity, and other such parameters. In contrast to the Sync Box, the TV app work on its own. thus, pointing out that it doesn’t need hardware support. In addition to this, the support for native apps like Disney Plus and Netflix is also supported.

Reportedly, the Sync TV app works best with Hue products. These products consist of Philips Hue Play and Hue Play bars. Such products can be placed behind a TV set for an enhanced experience. It works by harmonizing the TV content with the smart lights of Philips Hue. Thus, creating a cinematic effect for the space.

However, this service is not free of cost. The TV app costs approximately half compared to the Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box. The app is available on the Samsung TV app store from January 5 onwards. It can be purchased at $129.99. it is compatible with the 2022 version of Samsung QLED TVs. Particularly, the app is offered for the Q60 series and above.
