With the One UI 6.1 upgrade, Samsung tweaked a lot. One of these updates offers a full-fledged software for managing Samsung devices. Previously, all your Samsung devices appeared in the SmartThings Find area of the SmartThings app. To make things easier, the business is now developing a dedicated app for locating.
Samsung is replacing the SmartThings Find area with a standalone app named Samsung Find. The Samsung Find app performs many of the same functions and was released this month alongside the One UI 6.1 software for the Galaxy S24 series. The Samsung Find app is now accessible on the Galaxy Store via @Razar_the_Raven, allowing users to download and update it from there. It’s a 70MB program that was launched a few days ago and is presently at version 1.0.40.
It can help you locate your Samsung smartphones, tablets, laptops, Galaxy SmartTags, and even members of your family. It has three tabs: Devices, Items, and People. The Devices tab displays all of your phones, smartwatches, tablets, and laptops, while the People section displays your family members’ whereabouts if they share them with you. The Items tab lists all your Galaxy SmartTags. Even the Devices and Items tabs include two parts. One displays your devices/items, while the other reveals the whereabouts of your family members’ devices/items.
This software allows you to share your current location or the location of your device/item with others. Clicking the Make Sound option will reveal the exact position of your device or item. For smartphones with UWB, it also provides you with the directions to reach your object in an easier way.
