Samsung: Galaxy M01 & M11 Launching in India on June 2; Budget-Friendly Devices With Massive Batteries

Samsung Galaxy M01 and M11 are coming to India as early as the beginning of June. We now have an even more specific launch date and time– June 2 at 12PM. The specific time is a bit unexpected, as it is unlikely that Samsung will hold the budget pair in an actual event. Still, even if this is a scheduled promo video, we could be treated to some formal unveiling.

We’ll probably keep a closer eye on the Galaxy M01 ourselves as, unlike the M11, its specs sheet is not yet completely cleared-up. Thanks to another recent leak, we expect the budget device to pack a 5.71-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution (720 x 1560 px), Snapdragon 439 coupled with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of on-board storage, and a 4,000 mAh battery packed inside a 146.3 x 70.86 x 9.8 mm body. It is also expected that the M01 will have dual-main cameras, consisting of a 13MP main shooter, with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP f/2.4 aperture depth sensor. On the front-a 5MP snapper, with an aperture f/2.2. Other bits and pieces that we know will be features including Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi b / g / n, 3.5 mm audio jack, Dolby Atmos sound, Samsung Health, One UI, and Face Unlock. The inclusion of a microSD card slot is still debated among sources, but this latest one does claim that expandable storage will be present on the M01.

Local market pricing currently suggests INR 8,999 for the Galaxy M01, with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage and INR 10,999 and INR 12,999 for the Galaxy M11 in its 3 GB, plus 32 GB and 4 GB, plus 64 GB configuration, respectively.
