According to the sources we already had an idea that Samsung would unveil its new device at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) which is being held in Barcelona next month. This is the world’s largest event related to mobile technology. Samsung didn’t mention the launch date of the handset earlier. Samsung would do the same with this unveiling as it did for the previous phone unveiling; it is going to take place on Sunday night the Feb 25th just before the event starts.

According to the invitation image released by Samsung, the phone is called “9” and the teaser about the phone is “The Camera Reimagined”.

However, there are not many details about the phone beforehand but the rumors suggest that Samsung has improved its camera, we can expect significant improvement in camera setup and the device would carry the dual camera.

Samsung Galaxy S9 specifications (Expected)

According to the rumors, the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus would come with a large full-screen display with slim-bezels, the phone is powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon chip 845, would feature dual camera setup, another gimmick is the Samsung’s version of Face ID and in-screen fingerprint sensor.

The phone is also expected to hit the shelves in March ready to compete with its rivals that are already on the market iPhone X and others.

However, there are several rumors about iPhone X that indicates Apple is going to introduce price cut for iPhone X during 2018, if that happens, Samsung has to think carefully about the price tag of Galaxy S9 and S9 plus.
