Samsung has already started testing the One UI 5.1.1 upgrade on the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5

After the successful release of the Galaxy S23 series, the South Korean conglomerate is now preparing the release of the next high-end Galaxy smartphones. Some reports suggest that the company might introduce the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 in August 2023. It is a similar timeframe in which the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 were introduced last year. Furthermore, some sources indicate that Samsung has begun testing the One UI 5.1.1 update on the upcoming foldable smartphones.

On Samsung servers, the first One UI 5.1.1 was spotted. Reportedly, the firmware is tested on the native versions of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 (SM-F731N) and Galaxy Z Fold 5 (SM-F946N). One UI 5.1.1 with firmware version F946NKSU0AWD5 turned out to be running on the Galaxy Z Flip 5, while One UI 5.1.1 with firmware version F731NKSU0AWD5 was noticed to be running on the Galaxy Z Fold 5.

Android 13 will underpin One UI 5.1.1 update

The information indicates that both new firmware files are based on Android 13. Samsung could follow a similar strategy i.e., introduce the One UI 5.1.1 on upcoming foldable and then eventually introduce them on other Galaxy smartphones and tablets. It could be observed after the official debut of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5.

Well, there are not many details regarding the new offerings of One UI 5.1.1. Anyways new features and several improvements like enhancements to all stock apps, Galaxy ecosystem features, and Flex Mode could be expected.
