Since the South Korean electronics giant has mounted Europe’s largest circular LED at the Futuroscope theme park in Poitiers, France.
The circular LED in the Futuroscope theme park would provide the visitors with an immersive and lifelike experience. For installing Europe’s largest 360-degree circular LED screen in France, Samsung partnered with Futuroscope Management and Development (FMD).

The new setup provides the users with a remarkable audiovisual encounter of the story of Chasseurs de Tornades. The LED screen by Samsung measure 17 meters in diameter and 8 meters in height. It has a total surface area of about 420 square meters. This is the first of its kind LED screen installed in an amusement park anywhere in the world. Samsung mentions in its official blog that the LED signage installed in France is based on 800 LED cabinets from the Samsung Indoor IFR series. It offers a 21K resolution. It is equipped with HDR LED technology, lifelike images, high contrast, a peak light output of 2,400 nits, and a static contrast ratio of 12,000:1, thus generating amazing picture quality on a whole.
Furthermore, it is presented with a 120-seat dynamic motion theatre. It is surrounded by a 360-degree LED screen for an immersive experience. The Development and Projects Director at FMD, Yannis Marchet, mentioned that contrast ratio and image quality are incredible. Such an entertainment attraction is about to last for 15 years. Given this timeframe, the only durable tech is the LED.
