Samsung introduces environmentally friendly Galaxy phones and wearables in Korea

Samsung is keenly interested in the development of a sustainable environment. It has received recognition in the respective area. The company is continuously making efforts to introduce products that are eco-friendly. From this perspective, the tech giant has revised its supply chain in order to ensure the development of eco-friendly products. As of now, we have come across something quite amazing. The company has unveiled eco-friendly accessories for smartphones as well as portable projectors. Reportedly, some of these products have been showcased in South Korea.

Slash B Slash is an accessory manufacturing company. As per reports, the tech giant Samsung has partnered with Slash B Slash to introduce eco-friendly accessories for its Galaxy smartphone series, Galaxy wearables, and The Freestyle projector. For this reason, the company has opened a store in The Hyundai Seoul, Yeouido, South Korea. Currently, the store has accessories for Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Watch 5, and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro in the display. Interestingly, the accessories are based on more than 40% PCM (Post Consumer Material). It also includes recycled plastic and vegan leather.

In addition to this, the current project for the development of eco-friendly accessories is led by a team of young (aged in their 20s) Samsung employees. Previously at IFA 2022, Samsung introduced the Eco-Friends lineup of accessories. Later on, these accessories were delivered across 28 countries. Various themes have been adopted for the accessories in the lineup. These include Gatorade, Hello Kitty, Muzik Tiger, Pokemon, Sponge Bob, Star Wars, The Simpsons, and others.

The accessories are based on the SMAPP (Samsung Mobile Accessories Partnership Program). SMAPP ensures the provision of quality standards for consumers. It also keeps an account of the expanded retail sales options for the accessory makers. As of now, Samsung has introduced 39 eco-friendly products as well as around 150 other mobile accessories at the store. Moreover, the consumers are also provided with a customization option for the accessories.
