Experience stores by Samsung are the offline stores where the company displays its high-end products. Besides the product display, a brand organizes events during special occasions. As of now, Samsung has around 1,700 stores in India. Of these 1,700, only two are Experience Stores. The company is now aiming to open thirteen more Experience stores in the region before the end of 2023. Notably, the new Experience Stores will be opened in nine cities across the country.
Reportedly, Samsung will open Experience Stores in Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, and Pune. The information was disclosed by the Head of D2C & Corporate Marketing, Samsung India, Sumit Walia, to PTI. Walia states that this recent decision by the company is a result of improved sales of Samsung’s high-end products at the premium stores that are already operational in Bangalore and Delhi.
These Experience Stores are accompanied by built-in repair centers
“In the last 1.5 to 2 years, we have observed a doubling of the premium product share in Samsung brand stores, to 60% to 62%. That has increased to 80% at the premium experience store in Bangalore. Consumers increasingly want more from their products, which we can provide at our high-end experience stores, according to Walia.
Walia reports that all Experience Sores will be managed via the franchisees. Each franchise will have a tech expert for every relevant field such as gaming, photography, and others. Furthermore, the field experts will estimate around half of the staff at the Experience Store. The stores will be provided with built-in repair centers for smartphones. In this way, users could easily locate service centers and get their devices repaired.
