Samsung Launches Galaxy Tab S6 Lite Android 10, S-Pen And 7040mAh Battery

Galaxy Tab S6 Lite

With the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, Samsung has now presented a simpler version of its top tablet. It has a 10.4-inch display, an S Pen and, due to its attractive price, is likely to find many buyers – even in direct competition with Apple’s iPad.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite officially launched

After there were already some leaks in advance for the upcoming tablet from Samsung, the manufacturer has officially launched the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite in Indonesia. It has a weight of 467 grams, is 7 millimeters thin and is sold as a WLAN and LTE variant. When the new tablet will also be launched in Europe is still unclear. In terms of price, it should be a more affordable tablet due to the built-in hardware – especially the screen.

Samsung uses a TFT screen. The decision against an AMOLED screen seems incomprehensible since even the Galaxy Tab S5e relies on better screen technology. The resolution of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is 2,000 x 1,200 pixels, the screen itself is slightly rounded at the corners. The frame of the tablet is made of metal.

The manufacturer has not cut corners on the battery. Just like the more powerful Galaxy Tab S6, the performance of the battery is also 7,040 mAh in the Lite version. The battery drives Android 10 together with Samsung’s user interface One UI 2. Samsung has not yet specified any information about the charging time. Samsung has particularly cleverly housed the stylus. This can be plugged directly into the case and transported safely. This is much better solved than with Apple and the iPad.

Galaxy Tab S6 Lite with mid-range processor

Customers have to do without a Snapdragon 855 like the Galaxy Tab S6. Samsung has installed the in-house development Exynos 9611, which can also be found in the Galaxy A50s and Galaxy A51. The processor is supported by 4 GB of RAM in the tablet and either 64 GB or 128 GB of permanent storage. The memory can be expanded by up to 1 TB via a microSD card. There is a camera at the front and rear. Selfies are possible with up to 5 MP, the main camera takes pictures with up to 8 MP. WLAN, Bluetooth 5.0 and GPS are included as modules in all models. For LTE you have to pay extra. How much Samsung would like to have for the tablet in this country has not yet been communicated. The WLAN version is said to be available for 379 euros.
