Samsung might reveal its first foldable tablet this year

Something interesting is coming from Samsung. A new rumor is circulating in the internet space. It suggests that the South Korean tech giant might introduce its first foldable tablet this year. This information was shared in a Tweet by Revegnus originally. Later on, the famous tipster Ice Universe retweeted and shared the information.

The source mentioned in the tweet that the tech company might introduce this foldable device alongside the Galaxy Tab S9 series. In addition to this, Revegnus referred to the device as a Z Tab. Last year, the company introduced the Galaxy Tab S8 series in February. However, this was not the case this year. It is anticipated that the company might introduce the Tab series alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 in August, though.

One thing to notice here is that the source is unsure about this future device as he uses the words ‘high probability’. Furthermore, he adds on if not this year, then for sure the company will introduce such a device next year. What will this device look like? Rumors suggest that it could be Samsung’s first three-fold device. It would even have the likelihood of turning into a smartphone. However, it would be much thicker than a traditional foldable smartphone.

In the unfolded form the device would feature a large display. It could even feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Besides this, such a device would require a large battery to operate the whole day given the fact that its display would be quite large. It could be heavier than traditional devices.

When it comes to price, guesses are that it will be expensive in contrast to other device in the market. It could feature a price tag of around $1,799.
