Samsung Released the Galaxy A22 in Europe – Here’s What we Learned About this Device

Samsung has finally released the new Galaxy A22 in Europe. The phone was in the news for quite some time. The device has two variants – 4G and 5G. Both run Android 11 out of the box.

Now that the device is released, we could talk with more authenticity. So let’s get started and review this newly released Galaxy smartphone.

Samsung Released the Galaxy A22 in Europe

The 5G variant of the galaxy A22 comes with a 6.6″ FHD+ display and 1080×2400 pixel resolution. The 4G model comes with a smaller screen size, i.e., 6.4″ HD+ display with 720×1600 pixel resolution.

Going to the processor, we found octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC on the 5G model, paired with either 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB RAM + 64GB or 128GB storage. On the other side, the 4G model comes with octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 SoC, paired with either 4GB or 6GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB storage. Both devices have MicroSD support to expand their storage further.

We get a similar battery and charging support on the two variants – 5000mAh battery with 15W fast charging.

On the camera side, we get a triple-camera setup on the Galaxy A22 5G support with a 48MP primary sensor, paired with a 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, this handset gets an 8MP selfies camera.

For the Galaxy A22 4G, we have a whopping quad-camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor. The other three sensors are; 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens + 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, we get a 13MP selfie camera.

The price for the 4G variant is still unknown, but we do know the price for the 5G variant. The Galaxy A22 5G comes for 229 euros – this is the starting price for the device.
