Samsung Reportedly Launching New Phone Series ‘Rize’

Samsung is the leading smartphone maker in the world in terms of its products, shipments and sales. But due to competition from the Chinese smartphone market and growing iPhone demand, Samsung needs a jolt to remain at the top.

LetsGoDigital spotted that Samsung has filed for a trademark application in the UK. At the end of November, Samsung filed for the trademarkapp called “Samsung Rize.” The UK listing has precisely mentioned smartphonesand included the Rize lineup design names that are Samsung Rize10, SamsungRize20 and Samsung Rize30. Also in Mexico, Samsung has asked trademarks forthese same names.

The existing Samsung smartphone series is Galaxy Note, S, A and J devices. On this list, Samsung Rize series phones will be added. Officially Samsung has not said anything about a new series or Rize phone but the trademark filings by Samsung are for Rize phones. So now we need to patiently wait for Samsung to talk about it.

According to 91Mobiles Samsung might be planning to launch mid-range affordable phones under Rize series, however, LetsGoDigital feel that the Rize branding can be for Galaxy S10 series. As Samsung is launching 3 S10 variants in 2019 and there were speculations that they might be launched under a different name. So Rize series can also be upcoming S10 series.

Other than this Samsung is also planning to launch its firstfoldable smartphone Galaxy F which is expected to be announced in February atthe Mobile World Congress
