T.M. Roh, the head of Samsung’s mobile division, has revealed the company’s intentions regarding Galaxy AI after it becomes generally unavailable in 2025 for free. What we already knew about Galaxy AI when the Galaxy S24 series arrived a few weeks ago was confirmed by Roh to ET Telecom. According to Roh, the company has invested a lot in the development of Galaxy AI. Despite this fact, the feature will be freely available to users until 2025.
With this statement, everyone is wondering about the future of Galaxy AI. It appears like the company has not made a firm decision regarding this yet. According to Roh, the business has not made any choices on Galaxy AI’s financial prospects after 2025. He did, however, make hints about future intentions to provide more potent AI features for paid users.
Roh mentioned that there are several requirements for mobile AI. Most consumers will be satisfied with the free version of Galaxy AI. However, there will be other users who will prefer powerful AI features and even they will be willing to pay for them. In the future, all such aspects will be taken into consideration, Roh added. The company has enough time to make a decision.
We will come across more details as soon as there is a final decision. In the past, several publications like the Android Authority approached Samsung regarding the future of Galaxy AI. However, they were unable to get any response from the company. In the meantime, Roh shared that in 2024, the new technology will be introduced to over 100 million devices across the globe.
In addition to this, the company confirmed that the AI helper will be introduced to older Galaxy flagships in the future, including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab S9 series. Reportedly, these devices will get the update within the first half of this year. Possibly, the company will add this feature to the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6. When combined, these gadgets could assist Samsung in reaching its 100 million goal for the release of Galaxy AI.
