Samsung to Start Rolling Out One UI 4.0 to the Galaxy S21 Series in August (2021)

Samsung is soon going to roll out the new One UI 4.0 to the Galaxy S21 series. The One UI 4.0 will be developed based on Android 12.

Though the company hasn’t announced a date for this rollout, we heard from some sources that this test will begin in August (2021).

This new UI will bring new icons, give new colors to the display, and bring a new design. Moreover, the One UI 4.0 will also optimize the performance of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and Exynos 2100.

This UI will be Samsung’s latest skin on top of Android 12 and is codenamed Palette.

Another source also said that this rollout to the Galaxy S21 series would begin in November or December.

We don’t have the complete list of One UI 4.0 features, but an extract. So, this One UI 4.0 brings:

  • Native Scrolling Screenshot
  • New App Pairs feature for Split-Screen Multitasking
  • Access Google Assistant through the power button
  • New Quick Settings buttons
  • Major optimizations for tablet
  • Attractive design changes
