Samsung will reportedly introduce the Galaxy S23 with numerous new camera features

The official launch of Galaxy S23 is just weeks away. It is now officially confirmed that Samsung will launch the Galaxy S23 series on February 1. Previously, some rumors suggested that the upcoming smartphones by the company could have significant updates in the camera setup. Yesterday, some official leaked information has provided insights into the camera setup of the forthcoming smartphones. This information pointed to improved low-light photography as well as some other features. And now some fresh news suggests some more indications regarding the camera features of the galaxy S23 series.

The high-end smartphones by Samsung are equipped with an Expert RAW app. This app is presented with an Astrophoto feature. The Astrophoto feature enables capturing images of stars as well as constellations. It might be that the firm is working on expanding the Astrophoto feature and presenting it with hyperlapse videos. However, the details are yet to be discovered. We are not sure whether the new feature will be presented with the stock camera app or with the Expert RAW.

Besides this feature, the series will be presented with a Pro mode for the selfie camera. users will be given access to manual controls. These manual controls will permit the users to set their preferred shooting parameters like white balance, shutter speed, ISO, and others. Previously, smartphones by Samsung were presented with the Pro mode. However, the mode was restricted to the rear camera setup. Now, the front selfie shooter will be equipped with Pro mode. However, do note here that users have more choices with these parameters given the Expert RAW app.

In addition to this, the new series of Galaxy smartphones will be equipped with support for RAW photos taken via the 50Mp resolution. In the past, the RAW format was only accessible with photos captured in the Pro mode i.e., 12MP resolution. However, this is going to change with the upcoming series. But the RAW format feature won’t still be available with the 200Mp resolution on Galaxy S23 Ultra.
