Samsung is going to debut the flagship Galaxy S23 series in February. It is quite expected that the tech company introduces its upcoming devices with Android 13-based One UI 5.1. the company holds a set trend with the latest software updates. Generally, the software is initially released for the previous generation of high-end smartphones. Followed by that, the company releases updates for tablets as well as other mid-range smartphones. As of now, the tech firm has shared the list of devices that are going to receive the One UI 5.1 updates.
A few days ago Samsung introduced a new update for the camera app of Galaxy Watch 5. This update is related to the Controller app. It will introduce the zoom functionality to the Camera app. However, if we delve deep into the insights of this new update, we will get to know that the update is compatible with the devices based on One UI 5.1.
Expectedly, the following series of smartphones will receive the One UI 5.1 updates:
- Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, Galaxy S21 Ultra, Galaxy S21 FE
- Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, Galaxy S22 Ultra
- Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Flip 4

So, we can see that Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 are not included in this list. Does that mean it won’t receive the One UI 5.1 updates? Well, it is too early to say anything about this. Since a few days back the Samsung Servers showed some evidence of One UI 5.1 beta firmware for the Galaxy S20. So, we can expect that the tech company might release updates for these phones. But that could be later at some time. However, these are just assumptions, and we have to wait for official confirmation from Samsung.
Besides these high-end smartphones, other devices like mid-range smartphones and Galaxy tab devices are expected to receive updates in the second phase.
