Several new Ringtones and Text Tones for Calls, Messages, and Alarms are Added in iOS 17

Apple has just debuted the new iPhone 15 series. According to reports, the company will debut iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 next week. With iOS 17, the company has redesigned the landscape of ringtones and text tones. Reportedly, Apple has added more than 20 new sounds. These sounds can be used for several purposes, like texts, phone calls, alarms, messages, and more.

With the iOS 17 updates, users will find a new and fresh list of Ringtones in the Sounds & Haptics menu. Apple has added the following new ringtones to iOS 17: Milky Way, Quad, Radial, Scavenger, Seedling, Shelter, Sprinkles, Steps, Storytime, Dollop, Journey, Kettle, Mercury, Tease, Tilt, Unfold, Arpeggio, Breaking, Canopy, Chalet, Chirp, Daybreak, Departure, and Valley. However, Reflection remains the default ringtone option.

In contrast to the previous ringtones, the new ringtones have a modern appeal. They are lengthy. All the previous ringtones have been relocated to the Classic section by the company. It means that ringtones like Illuminate, Night Owl, Constellation, and Twinkle are not going away; rather, they will be available.

Ringtones can also be used as alarm sounds and are activated when the iPhone rings and the mute feature is turned off. In the Contact app, you can set different ringtones for each contact, and if you have several iPhone lines, you may use different ringtones for each line.

In addition to this, Apple has unveiled new Text Tones as well. Notably, the company has introduced more than 10 new text tones that are compatible with incoming text messages. Similar to the ringtones, the previous text tones have been moved to the Classic folder. Users can find the new Text Tones for Sent Mail, Calendar Alerts, New Voicemail, New Mail, and Reminder Alerts in addition to texts.
