Some details about the primary camera of the Realme 12 Pro and Pro+

Reportedly, Realme is going to debut the Realme 12 Pro series on Monday, January 29. The company has been confirming the key features of the smartphones before the official announcement. Previous reports suggested that the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ would arrive with the same Sony IMX890 primary camera. However, a poster indicates that the 12 Pro features a different sensor for the primary camera.

The Sony IMX890 is a camera sensor used in flagship and sub-flagship smartphones. It will be used for the Realme 12 Pro+. The Realme 12 Pro, on the other hand, will feature the Sony IMX882 camera sensor. Reportedly, the IMX882 sensor is similar to the LYT-600 sensor. The LYT-600 sensor has been used in the Chinese variants of the Oppo Reno 11 5G and Vivo S18e.

Besides this, the Realme 12 Pro+ will feature a 64MP OV64B periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. However, the Pro variant will feature a 32MP telephoto camera. An 8MP ultra-wide lens will be included on both devices. Reports suggest that the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ will feature a 16MP and a 32MP selfie camera, respectively.

Concerning the chipset, the Pro model will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, whereas the Pro+ variant will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. Currently, there are no details regarding the price of the Realme 12 Pro series. Both smartphones might feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display. They will be paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Both devices reportedly pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.
