Some key details about the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4

This year, Xiaomi will unveil two foldable smartphones in China, including a vertically foldable Mix Flip and the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4. Possibly, the Mix Flip might arrive alongside the Xiaomi 14 Ultra by the end of next month. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, on the other hand, might debut in H2 2024. In the meantime, some key details about Mix Fold 4 through the Mi code were sourced from the publication GSMChina.

Some details about the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4

The publication reveals that the device has been codenamed ‘Ruyi.’ This information was uncovered from the Mi code. The device will carry model numbers 2405CPX3DG and 2405CPX3DC for the global and Chinese variants. ‘n8’ is reported to be the internal model number of the device. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 will run HyperOS-based Android 14.

Previously, it was reported that Mix Fold 4 would arrive by the second half of this year. However, the digit ‘2405’ in the model number of the smartphone suggests that it might arrive in May. The report indicates that the foldable phone will launch with a mysterious gadget, but it withholds any details. Several reports regarding the support for satellite connectivity features for the Mix Fold 4 have emerged in the past. There are no further details about the other specs of the smartphone.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and two-way satellite connection are anticipated to be features of the Xiaomi Mix Flip and Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Not only could these items be unveiled at Xiaomi’s impending launch event, but the Pad 7 series of tablets might also be revealed.
