Sony Pictures Entertainment Uploads Entire Movie on YouTube instead of the Trailer

Sony made a huge blunder by uploading a whole movie on YouTube instead of the trailer. Titled, Khali the Killer: Official Red Band Trailer should have been maximum 2 minutes long video but it was not. Sony Pictures Entertainment accidentally uploaded the whole film to YouTube. Sony has taken down the movie now but it remained on YouTube for hours before Sony realized the mistake.

As per news reports, a 90-minute movie was uploaded on July 3rd. The movie was live for almost 8 hours before it was removed.

As per IMDb, the synopsis of the film is, “After deciding to retire, an East LA hitman decides to take one last job to help support his ailing grandmother’s end of life care. But everything falls apart when he develops empathy for the targets of his hit, and he’s forced to make the toughest decision of his life.”

As per Hollywood Reporter, “Sony Pictures Home Entertainment unveiled the most spoiler-filled trailer of all Tuesday morning when what claimed to be a YouTube version of the red-band trailer for ‘Khali the Killer’ turned out to be all 89 minutes and 46 seconds of the movie.”

CBR.com was the first news site to break this news. Different responses came up from people, as some said that this is the trailer and the movie will be 4 hours long. Some were concerned about the future of the employee who mistakenly uploaded the whole video while others considered it a marketing stunt by the movie makers.
