Soon, Text on the screen can be translated with Circle to Search

The South Korean tech giant Samsung debuted the Galaxy S24 series with One UI 6.1 updates. According to fresh details, the company is now rolling out the update to high-end devices including smartphones and tablets. One of the main features of this update is the Circle to Search feature. As the name indicates, the feature enables users to search anything on the display by simply circling the object.

Circle to Search feature was recently debuted by Google. Despite this, the company is working to improve the functionality of the feature. The ability for Circle to Search to translate text on the screen will be available in the upcoming weeks, the business has stated. In order to access this feature, long-press on the home button or the navigation bar. Doing so will showcase the Circle to Search feature. Users can then click on the translate icon.

Followed by this, the feature will detect the content language automatically. It will be translated to a user’s preferred language. It doesn’t require drawing a circle. For instance, if you open a Japanese-language PDF file that contains a hotel’s menu, you can use Circle to Search to translate the menu to English by tapping the translate icon.

At the moment, users must capture the screenshot of the content they wish to translate. Followed by this, they must open the Google Translate app and select the image. After identifying the language in the picture, the app will translate it to your chosen language. Doing so requires switching between two different apps that can be sometimes difficult and annoying. Circle to Search, on the other hand, enable users to translate the content with convenience.
