SwiftKey Keyboard Update Supports Roman Urdu As A Language

SwiftKey one of the biggest third-party Android/iOS keyboards presently available right now, has been finally upgraded to support the Roman Urdu language.

The keyboard could now autocorrect Urdu words written in English, which is also referred to as the Roman Urdu at times.

The update also incorporated assistance for five other languages with Fongbe, Alsatian, Norman and Warlpiri being highly focused and limited in their respective opportunities.

The team is currently taking time out to fix some bugs and to make more improvements like fixing the layout when it comes to the Dvorak+Split+Undock settings.

The period sign is no longer activated via sliding your finger via it, while the application would no longer lock up when tagging someone on Instagram.

The SwiftKey application now supports above two hundred and forty languages. The most famous among these include Spanish (ES, LA, US), German, English (US, UK, AU, CA), Portuguese, Turkish and French. However, there are other few unorthodox and limited versions, like the ShakeSpeak—a version which matches with the Shakespeare’s tone when typing.

SwiftKey was for the first time launched in 2010, it was then taken up by the Microsoft in 2016 for $250 million, on the back of its excellent assistance and exact predictive technologies. It also offers a lot of liberty for users to personalize the experience, with the presence of more than seventy themes and designs.

Support for iOS was brought in 2014 after Apple opened its platform for third-party keyboards. At the time of its acquisition, the application was already present on the mobile devices of three million people, a number which has considerably increased with time.

The latest app could be downloaded from Google Play Store.
