Oppo beats all brands—shipped more units during the first Quarter of 2018

Oppo has witnessed record high shipments of its smartphones during the first quarter of 2018 beating everyone on the market. Oppo beats all brands when it comes to the shipment of smartphone units. A famous research company in China, Sino has released the report on China’s smartphone shipment during the first quarter of 2018. According to the report, Oppo, Vivo, Apple, Huawei, Honor, and Xiaomi are the top six players on the market for the largest number of shipments.

Oppo is ranked first with 18.52 million units shipped, Vivo was the runner-up with a margin of shipments, Vivo has shipped 17.34 million units as well. While Apple, Huawei, Honor, and Xiaomi had shipped 16.8 million units, 14.42 million units, 14 million units and 12.37 million units respectively.

In addition, Meizu was placed at the 7th position, the company managed to ship 3.91 million units. Jinli, Samsung, and Xiaohuai were at number 8, 9 and 10 and shipped 2.39 million units, 2.14 million units, and 1.3 million units respectively, during the first quarter of 2018.

As far as sales are concerned, Apple, Oppo, Huawei, Vivo, and Honor are the top five sellers on the list. Apple’s high price advantage still reflects in sales, but for online sales Honor, Xiaomi, Apple, Huawei, and Meizu are ranked as top five brands.

Honor has surpassed the most popular online brand Xiaomi during the first quarter and sold 6.29 million units during the first quarter.

Smartphone sales, shipments, and popularity dynamics are changing rapidly on the market especially the Chinese market; Samsung has gone well down in the rabbit hole where other Chinese brands are replacing it quickly.
