Earlier this month, Tecno introduced the flagship Camon 20 series. The company has introduced the top model of the series with some amazing camera setups. The camera setup of Cmaon 20 Premier is based on several imaging techs that have been dubbed Ultimage by the company. The word Ultimage refers to a blend of image sensors and AI features.
Tecno Camon 20 Premiere is provided with an RGBW camera sensor. It consists of a 50MP RGBW sensor and a 108MP sensor behind its 115° lens. It is the highest-resolution UW camera that has been around to date. It includes a white subpixel rather than a green one. In this case, the light transmission rate increases. Besides this, the company has used a glass element in the lens array (1G+6P). moreover, there is no substantial change in the size of the sensor. The Premiere version has gone from a 1/1.73” to a 1/1.56” sensor, or to put it in terms of pixel size from 0.8µm to 1.0µm.
In addition to this, the Premiere also uses sensor-shift image stabilization rather than the optical kind that was utilized in old models. For a clearer image in the dark, the sensor moves 5,000 times per second to compensate for a handshake and other unintended movements. Furthermore, it is based on the Portrait Master Algorithm that has been trained on around 50 million photos of people with different skin colors. The raw output b the camera is sent to this algorithm. In this way, the smartphone enables users to capture the “one-shot perfect photo”.
Besides this amazing camera technology, Tecno will be the first company that will roll out the Android 14 update. These updates will arrive on the Camon 20 series first. Originally, the Camon 20 series smartphones were introduced with Android 13 out of the box.
