Oppo’s German website has almost completely vanished

Owing to the less demand for smartphone sales, Oppo could leave the European market. Recently, we heard that Oppo is going to leave the French market. Now some recent pieces of information indicate that the situation of Oppo is not good in Germany as well. It’s been a year since the company temporarily ceased the sales of smartphones in Germany. It did so because of the patent disputes. Besides this, the company’s website is also gone.

The website is still functional; however, it is not updated with the latest information. It has no new listings of smartphones. It is only presented with a banner that reminds users that Oppo is an official global partner for the UEFA Champions League. Furthermore, another banner indicates that the website does not have any product information. Besides this, some products like Reno 8 series and Find N2 Flip are not even available in the German market.

Regarding support and firmware updates, the same banner includes one query and a response. According to the firm, current users can continue to use Oppo products without limitations, receive updates, and obtain assistance. The support section is the only other page on the website besides the home page.

Oppo appears to be breaking down

Reportedly, the shipment market share of Oppo in Q1 2023 reduced from 6% in Q1 2022 to 4% a year later. It seems that the company is slowly fleeing from the European market. Besides the smartphone division, other divisions of the company have also experienced shortfalls. Just a few days back, we reported that Oppo has abandoned its in-house chipset business. Due to uncertain economic conditions, the company has decided to shut down the chip unit.
