Tesla Close to Level 5 Autonomous Driving Technology, Says Elon Musk
Tesla Inc is close to acquiring level 5 autonomous driving technology, as said by the Chief Executive Elon Musk on Thursday. He said this while referring to the capability to navigate roads without any input from the driver.
At the annual, World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) in Shanghai Musk said in remarks through a video message that he is confidents that level 5 would happen and that too very quickly.
He added that he is extremely confident that they would be having the basic functionality for level 5 or the essentially complete autonomy this year.

The automobile manufacturers and the technology firms including Alphabet Inc, Waymo, and Uber Technologies are making the investments of billions in the autonomous driving sector.
But as per the industry insiders, it would take some time for the technology to get ready and for the general public to trust the autonomous vehicles completely.
Tesla is a California based automaker and is currently building automobiles with an Autopilot driver-assistance system.
On the other hand, the Google Maps application for Android has started to show the traffic lights location. The feature is being made available to people but progressively.
