This is still considered a so-called memecoin, but now you can even buy it from Tesla – mind you, only merchandise. Elon Musk has repeatedly banged the drum for Dogecoin on Twitter, and the Tesla boss has repeatedly sent semi-ironic tweets about it. A year ago, they even called the US Securities and Exchange Commission into action, but ultimately the Tesla and SpaceX boss could not be proven to have acted improperly.
Dogecoin has been an integral part of the cryptocurrency scene ever since, and Musk announced last December that Dogecoin would be ennobled by accepting them for transactions.
