The Cupertino-based tech firm Apple revealed the Vision Pro headset in 2023. At that time, the company shared a tentative time window during which the Vision Pro could be launched. In the last few days, we have come across several reports regarding the launch of Vision Pro. As of now, we have another report that suggests that the headset will launch by the end of this month.
Mark Gurman of Bloomberg responded to speculation regarding the launch date of the Vision Pro by saying that individuals with knowledge of the situation in China are suggesting January 26 as the date. In addition to this, Gurman states that the headset units will be ready by the end of this month. They are expected to arrive in retail and physical stores in February.
In contrast to this, in November 2023, Gurman claimed that the headset could be launched in March 2024. However, he claims that the company was initially planning for a launch in January. Realistically, Apple is free to release the device at any moment between January and June if it chooses to debut it in early 2024. On the other hand, it appears that Apple may have decided to stick to its original intentions in light of this new information.
Bloomberg reports that users who are interested in buying the headset need to book an appointment at an Apple Store once the headset becomes available. It appears that the purpose of the appointment is to make sure that the buyer has the correct fit for the headset.
