The April 2021 security update reaches Samsung Galaxy Note 8 in the UK

Starting from this Thursday (April 22nd), Samsung rolled out the April 2021 Android security upgrade for the Galaxy Note 8 in the UK. And since it has been two days or so, we expect that every Galaxy Note 8 would now have this update.

Not to mention, this update first reached Latin America and then rolled out in Europe and some parts of Asia. Do remember, this update is available on devices carrying Samsung’s own Exynos 8895 SoC, aka SM-N950F.

Users having this device in hand and living in any of the areas we mentioned above could manually check if their phone is running the later version, go to Settings > About phone > Software information section. The latest firmware owns version number N950FXXSFDUD1.

If this isn’t the case, you could look for an update by heading towards Setting > Software update > Download and install.
