After compiling the results of an analysis of more than four million galaxies and ultra-bright, energy-packed quasars, the biggest-ever 3D map of the Universe has been published by the Astrophysicists on Monday.
Will Percival from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada said that the efforts of hundreds of scientists from as many as 30 institutions globally have produced a complete story of the expansion of the Universe.

Percival, in his statement, said that the in the project which was launched more than two decades ago, the scientists made the most exact expansion history measurements over the widest-ever range of the cosmic time.
It is pertinent to mention here that the 3D map of the Universe relies on the latest observations of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) with the data collected from an optical telescope installed in one of the US states New Mexico over six years.
Kyle Dawson from the University of Utah has unveiled the map on Monday. On the occasion, he said that that the researchers have tackled a troublesome gap in the middle 11 billion years.
He further said that they worked to fill in this gap through five years of continuous observations and they are using the information gathered during the last five years to provide some of the most substantial advances in the cosmology in the last decade.
