The Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 are protected with Gorilla Glass Victus+

The Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 from Samsung include a number of improvements over their predecessors, including a more upscale appearance. The front and rear of the two new phones are made of glass, and the A55 also features a metal frame. Not only that, but it was confirmed that Samsung had chosen Gorilla Glass Victus+ for its most recent mid-range phones, as per the speculations.

Samsung claims that the Galaxy A35+’s screen is composed of Gorilla Glass Victus+, but it makes no mention of the material used on the rear. The A55’s manufacturer states that it “is made of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+,” implying that the more durable glass covers both sides of the gadget. Victus+ is the only feature on the front of both phones, but it’s still a significant and appreciated boost.

Victus/Victus+ was created to improve both scratch resistance and drop protection, although most new Gorilla Glass models only concentrate on one of these features. Victus+ has at least double the scratch resistance of Gorilla Glass 5, which Samsung employed on the Galaxy A54 and A34.

Victus+, which was first available on Samsung phones with the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra, offers almost twice as much drop protection. Victus/Victus+ can withstand fall up to two meters in height, but Gorilla Glass 5 can only withstand drops up to 1.2 meters.

Even while the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 have the same IP67 certification as earlier phones in the family, they are additionally dust- and water-resistant. IP67-rated devices are entirely protected from dust and can be completely submerged in fresh water at depth of 0.5 meters for 30 min.
