The Galaxy S24 Ultra will have an improved OLED display

The South Korean conglomerate Samsung is done releasing all its high-end devices for the current fiscal year. Now, it’s time to head toward the upcoming major upgrade. Like this year, the company is anticipated to unveil the Galaxy S24 in February next year. Given this, rumors and leaked information have started appearing. As of now, according to a fresh piece of information, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature improved cameras and displays.

Galaxy S24 Ultra could feature an improved OLED screen

By the information provided by tipster Ice Universe, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature an improved display. The tipster has not mentioned the nature of the update. However, it is anticipated that it will be the new M13 OLED panel. This panel offers a high level of peak brightness. Smartphones by other companies like Xiaomi, OPPO, and Apple offer up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness. Whereas the latest Samsung offering, i.e., the Galaxy S23 Ultra, features a maximum of 1,750 nits of brightness. It appears that this is the space where Samsung needs an upgrade.

Until now, several smartphone companies have introduced high-end smartphones with excellent specs like support for QHD+ resolution, improved color accuracy, and refresh rates. The companies have reached a level of improvements and specs where any further additions could go unnoticed by the general public. For this reason, the only area where improvements can be seen is in the peak brightness levels that could help smartphones perform better in outdoor conditions.

Besides this, it is anticipated that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature a 50MP telephoto camera with 2 times optical zoom, a faster processor, and a titanium frame. Rumors indicate that the Galaxy S24 series will utilize the company’s 13th-generation AMOLED panel, called the M13. The M13 panel is thin and features improved picture quality and power efficiency.
