Samsung is now rolling out the May 2021 Android security patch to the Galaxy Fold 5G. The device is now receiving the latest Android security maintenance release (SMR) in South Korea and the United Kingdom. The new firmware for the two countries is identified by the version numbers F907NKOU3EUD7 and F907BXXU5EUD7, respectively.
This month’s security update brings fixes for three critical and dozens of moderate and high-risk vulnerabilities found on Android OS. This update for the Galaxy Fold 5G also patches 23 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) items.
Moreover, this update might also bring the new camera and Quick Share improvements for this device. The 4G variant of this device also received these improvements.
There is a feature that allows users to record videos from both the front and the primary rear camera simultaneously. But it is unclear if this feature will come with the latest update for the Galaxy Gold 5G.
For owners of this Galaxy Fold 5G device and residing in South Korea or the UK, you would receive an update notification soon or else you could check it manually by heading towards your device’s settings.
