The latest QD-OLED TVs by Samsung will offer up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness

In 2022, Samsung introduced the QD-OLED TV lineup series at the CES event. Following the release of the QD-OLED TV line, Samsung declared that it would come up with a device brighter than other OLED TVs specifically against its competitor LG. However, in comparison to LG OLEDs, the product Samsung was slightly brighter. Yesterday, LG unveiled its latest product in the OLED TV lineup. Reportedly, this device by LG displays 70 percent more brightness. It has a peak level of around 1,800 nits.

Just after this news surfaced online, we are hearing something intriguing. This is obviously about LG’s rival Samsung. Samsung has declared that its forthcoming QD-OLED TV lineup will arrive with up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness. If we go by this news, and f this is true, then LG could be defeated by Samsung in this tech. this tech is possible due to the new QD-OLED panel by Samsung Display. Reportedly, this display is based on a new “HyperEfficient EL” OLED material and Samsung’s IntelliSense AI. Resultantly, we will have more energy-efficient TVs presenting precise colors, as per Samsung Display.

In addition to this, the new lineup of QD-OLED TVs will be available in a wide range of sizes. In contrast, the S95B introduced in 2022 was only offered in two size ranges i.e., 55 and 65 inches. However, the recent lineup series will be presented in the size range of 49 inches, 55 inches, 65 inches, and 77 inches. As of now, the company has not revealed other feature specifications. But we can anticipate that Tizen OS, HDR10+ (and likely not Dolby Vision, once again), along with Bixby, Alexa and SmartThings would be featured. Besides this, price and availability information has neither been shared. But we can expect more details in the coming days at CES 2023.
