The New Apple 12.9-inch iPad Pro Won’t Work with the Old Magic Keyboard

Apple’s new 12.9″ iPad Pro has a weakness; it won’t work with the old Magic Keyboard case for the 2018 and 2020 models. You would need a new Magic Keyboard case.

This news was first shared by French site Generation and then reposted by The Verge. It states that for users moving from a 2018 or 2020 12.9″ iPad Pro to the latest model, they would also need to get rid of their old Magic Keyboard case.

Stating more about the new iPad Pro, The Verge said that this model is slightly thicker than its predecessor (iPad Pro 2020). This new Apple iPad is 6.4mm thick; the previous one was just 5.9mm. Though, this could be due to the Mini LED screen technology.

On the other hand, there’s good news for those getting the new 11-inch iPad Pro; they still could use their older Magic Keyboard case. This model is similar to its predecessor in terms of the screen and dimensions,
