The global OnePlus 12 is identical to the model that has been on sale in China since the end of last year. It features the same design as its ancestor. The OnePlus 12 features a half-pill-shaped island that houses a circular camera island on the rear panel. The profile of the smartphone is slim, with a metal middle frame. It is IP65-certified for dust and water resistance.
The OnePlus 12 features a 6.82-inch curved AMOLED screen with QHD+ resolution that offers a 120Hz LTPO display and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. On the front, a center-aligned punch-hole cutout can also be found. For the gaming experience, the smartphone comes with a Pixelworks X7 independent display processor that is capable of providing an improved visual experience. Moreover, the device holds certifications for DisplayMate A+, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+. The phone is usable even with wet hands due to the Aqua Touch technology. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
On the rear, the smartphone features a triple camera setup comprising a 50MP Sony LYT 808 primary sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64MP OIS-enabled periscope unit. A 32MP selfie camera can be found on the front. Inevitably, the smartphone has picture processing from renowned camera manufacturer Hasselblad. The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which comes paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of UFS 4 storage.
For heat dissipation, the device packs a large 9140mm² vapor chamber cooling system. The device is fueled by a 5,400mAh battery with support for 100W wired, 50W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging. The smartphone runs on Android 14 out of the box. Some other connectivity features include WiFi-7, Bluetooth 5.4, dual-SIM, NFC, and a USB 3.2 Gen1 port.
Pricing and availability of OnePlus 12
The OnePlus 12 is offered in two colors: Silky Black and Flowy Emerald. The base 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at $800/EUR 949 in the US and European markets, whereas the 16GB + 512GB option costs $900/EUR 1,099, respectively. The smartphone is now available for pre-order. However, sales of the device will begin on January 30 in India and on February 6 in North America.
