The original Apple Store is relocating to a new, contemporary location
Previously, we have learned that Apple opened its first retail store in Mumbai, India. Now we have some more interesting news for Apple enthusiasts. The tech company Apple has revealed that the Tysons Centre store is getting not only a contemporary restoration but also a new site. It was opened almost more than two decades ago. It was the very first Apple Store that was located outside of Washington DC. In May 2001, Apple launched its first two stores. One of them is in Tysons, Virginia (officially McLean), and the other is in Glendale, California. However, the one in Tysons was officially the first location.
After 22 years, Michael Steeber made the discovery that Apple is developing a brand-new location for Tysons Corner. Over the weekend, Apple shared more information on the temporary facade of the new building: Here in Tysons Corner, the very first Apple Store was opened 22 years ago. We’re excited to welcome you to this freshly redesigned space soon. We appreciate you contributing to our story.
In addition to this, the redesign has been marked with the slogan ‘Hello. Again.’ On the store’s website and on the outside, it states: A new chapter is coming shortly. Michael Steeber, an expert on the history and Apple Retail, shared his perspective on the significance of this project: Since this is the first time the original Apple Store has ever moved and this opening will be noteworthy. But I assure you that this opening will be much more. It all started in Tysons Corner, Virginia.
Besides this, Michael Steeber has an amazing program termed Apple Store Time Machine. Through this program, users can explore some of Apple’s most famous stores, including Tysons Corner, as they were upon their opening.
