The Pixel 8 series could be more expensive than the previous series

As we are nearing the launch of Google’s Pixel 8 series many of us are asking about the price of the upcoming series. When we take a look back at the Pixel 6 and 7 series, then we come to know that the Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 were available for $600. However, the Pro version of both series was priced at $900. On the other hand, the Pixel 7a was $50 more expensive than the Pixel 6a. so, we might expect a similar pricing trend with the upcoming Pixel 8 series.

As per the information shared by Yogesh Brar, the base model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage will be around $650 or $700. Well, this is a $50-$100 increase in price in contrast to last year’s model. Besides this, some reports indicate that the Pixel 8 series will accompany several improved features like a small but brighter 120Hz display, an ultrasonic fingerprint reader rather than an optical one, and others.

In addition to this, Brar has also confirmed the specs of the upcoming series. Reportedly, the Pixel 8 series will include a big 4,485mAh battery with support for 24W wired and 12W Qi wireless charging in contrast to the 4,355mAh at 20/20W charging. Although some sources believe that 20W support for non-Qi charging could be included.

There is no clarity on whether the Pixel 8 Pro will receive a price hike or not since the previous Pro models were $300 costlier than the vanilla models. Well, these are the prices of the US market. They could be different in different regions. The Pixel 8 series might unveil in early October, according to Brar.
